Love the Nutcracker? I am thrilled to share our idea for Nutcracker Photo Booth Props!

It is so good to be part of this years Storybook Advent on Rainy Day Mum!!

We love photo props – they just add so much to a simple picture, so when we were asked by Rainy Day Mum to create a Nutcracker themed activity for Christmas these photo props came to mind!

The Nutcracker has a long and rich history. Now the most popular ballet in the world, The Nutcracker’s origin is a story written in 1816 by E.T.A. Hoffman called The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, in which young Marie Stahlbaum’s favorite Christmas toy – The Nutcracker – comes alive after defeating the evil Mouse King in a battle that whisks her away to a magical kingdom populated by dolls. Later in 1892 it was adapted by Tchaikovsky, Petipa and Ivanov into a ballet that is still performed around the world at Christmas time!
