St Patricks Day Process Art project for Children

Today we painted with green peppers.

This is a wonderful little process art project for kids – bell peppers make a great St Patrick’s day paint stamp activity!

We painted with the top and used the rest in our dinner!

St Patrick’s Day Stamping Materials:

Green Pepper / Bell Pepper

Green Paint – any paint will do

Paper / Plastic Plate to squeeze the paint onto

Paper or card

Instructions:

  • Cut off the top
  • Squeeze paint onto a plate

Emma found the pepper slippery in her little fingers, but used the stem to hold onto, make sure you buy one with a bigger stem at the top!

She also found it very funny that we were eating our ‘stamp – stamp.’

I learnt something new!

A male green pepper has 3 sections – like the one we used today – perfect for creating a shamrock.

Female green peppers have 4 sections – perfect for printing a lucky 4 leaf clover!

Lucky Painting!!
